I’m a Knitting Fool!

I’ve been knitting up a storm lately.  It’s very relaxing for me.  And I’m branching out!  I finished my first sweater!

And I just finished this hat….

Holy Cow – Busy!

Sorry I’ve been absent, but it’s been a whirlwind around here.  Between work, and my new jewelry business, and housework and getting ready for classes starting, I’ve hardly had time to do anything at all, like blogging!

So, if you haven’t already, please check out my etsy page!  I’ve got lots of pretty things for sale.  I’ve sold quite a bit too, so my stock is pretty much revolving.  Each week there should be something new.  And I’m still pushing my grand reopening discount of 20%!  Just ask me how!

School starts back up for me next week, but my class actually opened up yesterday, and of course, I have assignments that are due next week, so I’ll be getting started on them this week.  I’m really hoping accounting  hasn’t changed too much in the past 13 years.  Of course, I realize already how different the undergrad classes are from the graduate – but c’est la vie – I gotta do what I gotta do!

My knee continues to heal, and PT continues to torture me.  But this time I am seeing results, so that’s a plus.  I’m working downtown 3 days a week, and working from home two days, until I can get some more stamina on the knee.  I go back to the ortho on the 17th.  I can bend up to 137 degrees now (that’s a good thing) but I’m still fighting a limp and some pain and definitely swelling, which sucketh.

So, let’s see…what else…hmmm…nada.  Darn I’m boring.  I won’t even talk about the Eagles Season except to say that my team sucketh.

So, what’s new with you?

Christmas Crafts – or…I’m Such a Dufus

I spent today crocheting an Elmo hat for my granddaughter Braelyn for one of her Christmas presents.  It was a quick project and it came out so cute.

I almost don’t want to give it away.

But, when you are as stylish as me, you can probably understand why…

Wedding Gift

Here are pictures of the wedding gift I made for my niece.

Holy Busy Weekend Batman!

So, this weekend is going to be busy busy busy.  I’ll bullet – it’s easier:

  • Finish the wedding afghan for Sarah and Matt – and I mean finish it…I have 18 more strips and I can start assembling.
  • Put together the wedding CDs and intinerary for Bob – must do this weekend
  • Clean – I need to vaccuum a bit and scrub the bathroom floor
  • Crotinis!  Our first meeting in a while
  • Go up to DE to visit Mom – I need to go the Farmer’s Market while I’m up there
  • Start packing for next weekend

Lots of stuff to do, and through all of that, I still have to watch my diet really close…Monday’s the final weigh in and then I can submit my paperwork for approval.  Hopefully by this time next week I’ll have a real, honest to goodness surgery date – SQUEE!

Busy Little Bee

I haven’t been posting much because life has gotten in the way lately.  Work has been unbelievably hectic as of late, and most of my spare time now is spent working on my niece’s wedding gift.  I only have a couple of weeks to finish it up, so I’ve been crocheting like crazy.

Now that summer has wound down, and we won’t be going back to TE much (with the exception of the weekend of October 10th – because Bob forgot to empty our water filter), I’ll have more time on the weekends to catch up on housework, crafts, etc.  I have a ton of scrapbooking I want to do – and I think this weekend, before I start my marathon crochet weekend, I’m going to head over to Michaels for some paper and supplies.  Not much, because I don’t have a whole lot of extra cash, but just some.  I’m craving some new paper for some layouts, and I just want to see what they have.

I know that if my surgery is scheduled as it is supposed to be scheduled in November, I’ll have plenty of time to catch up on things then (of course, it will be too late by then to finish the afghan – it needs to get done this month).  Catch up on craft things, anyway – no point in catching up on housework – I don’t imagine I’ll be able to do much.

I’m feeling crafty.  Yep – crafty.  Fall and winter are good for feeling crafty.
